The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
A federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income Americans, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance at no cost. TEFAP provides food and administrative funds to states to supplement the diets of these groups. Wayside Food Programs works with the Maine State Department of Agriculture to administer and distribute the food for this program to eligible food pantries and soup kitchens in Cumberland County.
Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a senior food assistance program. Each month, Wayside collaborates with food pantries, community groups, places of worship and local housing authorities to provide eligible aging adults with a free 30-pound box of food.

To qualify a community member must:
Be a resident of Cumberland, Oxford or York County. If you live in a different County and need assistance, please let us know! We’ll put you in touch with the program manager in your County.
Be 60 years of age or older
